Can you tell us something about your studio?
-My studio has been present in the area for over thirty years and I have recently also started a delivery office in the metropolitan area of Pescara. We have a double office that has become operational this year. We are ten senior and junior collaborators.
From the point of view of the type of customer, which one is the most prevalent?
-As a studio we are quite heterogeneous , we are not specialized in certain sectors. We have both manufacturing, wholesale and business services businesses.
What kind of services does your studio offer to the client?
- The services concern data processing and consultancy, as well as the drafting of tax returns for the period. As far as consultancy is concerned, it is an activity that I mainly carry out with the support of senior collaborators and focuses on both tax and management planning, offering consultancy services on management control. We also have a specialized structure linked to tax litigation that we develop with the Pescara office and where we focus on tax disputes.
Do you see consulting activities more as an opportunity for client retention or growth?
- Consulting activities are a very attractive area and are often the result of a long experience in the sector and a process of consolidating the position. I find that the market is quite receptive to services based more on the management of the operational aspect.
Your studio has been using the bot for about a year. In the decision-making phase, what were the elements of skepticism?
-Actually, I’ve always been quite convinced about the decision to switch to robotization. Even before the introduction of the electronic invoice I had made attempts with other programs in order to mechanize the registration. The times weren’t ripe then, the attempt didn’t give great results. When the opportunity presented itself to learn about this product, I didn’t have much doubts about the application.
In fact we have already obtained important results in a short time. With the staff we have found a great synergy with respect to the management of the robot. This is because I have adopted the system of involving one of the collaborators, making him responsible as a sort of project manager. Talking to collaborators about the use of the robot and study processes has become an opportunity for growth.
What would you recommend to colleagues who fear a negative response from staff?
- For my study it was a great stimulus, both from the point of view of organization and development of study activities. We overcame our fears after experiencing the first positive results, thanks to direct experience. Regardless of the different approaches to the technology, overall no one in my study perceived the robot as an obstacle. Even the most suspicious employees are now satisfied with the workload that the robot allows. Thanks to the robot, my collaborators can devote their time to more stimulating activities.
What are the benefits realized in this time frame?
- To date, document registration times have practically dropped to zero. We have been able to provide our bot-managed clients with real-time financial situations. We are also working to offer closing forecasts, which would not be possible without the bot.
The new recruits seem to have a totally different approach to data entry compared to previous generations; they seem to have a repulsive approach to routine tasks. The robot allows you to establish resource partnerships stimulated by a new way of working . What was once a criticality becomes a possibility of attraction.
Another strategic aspect for a study is to have the freshness of the data. Having the freshness of the data means that the collaborator who is in charge of the customer addresses questions or requests for information in such a short period of time that the customer does not struggle to retrieve and provide them . If, on the other hand, it takes 60 days to process the data, recovery is tiring. Thanks to the freshness of the data guaranteed by the robot, the customer feels followed.
